OVERSEAS ASSETS
Further Drop Last Week New Zealand’s reserves last week fell to their lowest level since March, 1959. Preliminary figures issued by the Reserve Bank yesterday show net overseas assets of the New Zealand banking system at £72m on December 7. This figure is £3.2m below the figure a week earlier. Comparable figures for recent years are as follows: 1959 .. .. £92.1m 1958 .. .. £ 59.9 m 1957 .. .. £ 53.7 m 1956 .. .. £76.2m
