"DISTURBING” TREND

Mr Holyoake’s Comment

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. “That is not very encouraging," said the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) at his press conference tonight, when his attention was drawn to the Reserve Bank’s latest figures of New Zealand’s overseas assets.

‘‘At first glance it is certainly disturbing,” said the Prime Minister. “I haven’t talked with the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) about it, but it will be one of the subjects that will condition our thinking and the Cabinet’s decisions on financial matters to be taken on Monday,” said Mr Holyoake.
