Looking back over the school year, two particular features stood out —the planning of the school building programme and the school effort for World Refugee Year, said the principal of Rangi-ruru School (Mrs M. G. Patrick) at the prize-giving ceremony yesterday morning. The school’s total contribution to World Refugee Year had been £2OO and as a result two families, one in Hong Kong and one in Germany, had been able to move from wretched conditions into new homes, where they should have a prospect of peace and happiness, she said.
