NAVY LEAGUE AUXILIARY

Morning Coffee Party

The women’s auxiliary of the Navy League held a morning coffee party at Elizabeth House on Saturday, attended by about 80. The president (Mrs W. Thacker) welcomed guests, making particular reference to the Mayoress (Mrs G. Manning). . Mrs Manning spoke appreciatively of the work the auxiliary has done for sailors and sea cadets.

Miss Mary Morten gave a talk on a recent visit to England and Europe. Mrs A. R. Alexander presented flowers to Mrs Manning and Miss Morten. Mrs H. Goggin thanked the speaker. Official guests included the following: Mesdames H. S. Feast, D. Tyree, J. Allan, Norton Francis, G. Hennessy, and E. Newton. Members of the Middle Watch, under the leadership of Miss Marion Harris, held a produce stall which raised £2O for the sea cadet fund.
