HOSPITAL LADY VISITORS
Report On Libraries Work ' The library work of the Hospital Lady Visitors’ Association continues to run smoothly, according to the annual report The librarians at Christchurch and Burwood Hospitals report a steady demand for books, and thank donors and distributors. With the opening of Princess Margaret Hospital the work of the association was extended to form a library run on similar lines to that at Christchurch Hospital. Renovations to the fence and painting of the Adeline Turner Rest Cottage were reported. Garments made bv the sewing circle for hospital patients are: 35 skin suits. 20 canes. 120 jug covers and several baby gowns Six pairs of pviamas and a pair of boy’s trousers were made to be given to children in need o* them. Knitters sent in 95 plaster socks, as well as bed socks, operation stockings, and caps for elderly men.
