The Totalisator Agency Board handled a total of £385,751 5s on Saturday’s racing and trotting meetings, compared with £315,954 10s for the corresponding day last year. Saturday’s figure was made up up of £181,562 10s in win and place bets and £204,188 15s on doubles. Details:— Te Aroha On-course: £77,898 10s, up £1124 ss. Off-course: £132,071, up £26,324 ss. On-course: £56,747, up £1362. Off-course: £91,525 ss, up £9597 ss. Otaki On-course: £56,399 10s, down £2843 10s. Off-course: £66,914 15s, up £19,020. Westport On-course: £12,833 10s, down £1255 10s. Off-course: £16,217, up £l9OB 15s. Ashburton On-course: £51,979, up £2809 10s. Off-course: £53,673, up £12494. Wyndham Off-course: £22,449, up £1056. Off-course: £25,350 ss, up £3201 ss. Off-course Substitutes Off-course substitutes were:— Te Aroha: Chatsmore. Hawke’s Bay: Good Samaritan. Otaki: Blue Lodge. Westport: Le ChevaL Ashburton: none required. Wyndham: none required.
