Remanded.—ln the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday before Messrs D. B. Smatti and J. S. Boughen, Justices of the Peace, Frederick John Painter, aged 55, was remanded in custody to October 6 on a charge of obtaining clothing and money valued at £9 10s by false pretences 'on September 20. Sergeant K S. Tuck said other charges might be preferred.
