Women’s Cricket MATCHES FOR SHIELD
Decisions On First fNeto Zealand Press Association} WELLINGTON. October 2. A recommendation that women's cricket matches for the Amalgamated Theatres Shield should be decided. on the first Innings it weather prevented the two-day game being played out was adopted at the annual meeting of the Women’s Cricket Council yesterday. In past years, if weather stopped play, the game was called a draw and the team which held the shield, kept it. The adoption of the recommendation would bring the series in line with others conducted by the council, said the treasurer (Mrs I. Lamason).
