Soccer Suspension Of Player

A player was suspended for four playing Saturdays by the management committee of the Canterbury Football Association at its meeting last evening. The judicial committee at its meeting had considered a complaint by a referee (Mr K. T. Foxcraft) after an incident in a third division game between Neerlandia and Nomads last Saturday. The player, F. Martin (Nomads) was ordered from the field for using foul language to the referee. Martin’s suspension for four playing Saturdays was confirmed by the management committee. Mr J. Cherry (Wellington) has been appointed by the New Zealand Referees' Association for the South Island Chatham Cup final between Christchurch Technical and Northern, of Dimedin. The linesmen will be Messrs C. Anderson and R. Cullen.
