Weight-Lifting D. Oliver’s Unofficial Records

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 2. New Zealand’s Olympic heavyweight weight-lifting representative, D. Oliver (Auckland), unofficially broke two national records in an Auckland-Hamilton teams contest in Auckland. Oliver lifted a total of 9701 b. 301 b better than his own national record total. In the clean-and-jerk he lifted 3901 b, BJlb better than his own national record for thia lift. There were not sufficient officials present to permit an application for recognition of the lifts.
