Soccer SCHOOLS’ MATCH AT NELSON

Christchurch B.H.S. Beats College, 7-1 (From Our Own Reporter) NELSON, July 27. Christchurch Boys' High School first soccer eleven overwhelmed Nelson College in an inter-school fixture at Nelson this afternoon. The score was 7-1. High School fielded a heavier and more experienced team which made the most of its opportunities. High School scored about five minutes after the start of play and kept Nelson on the run with hard kicking and accurate passing. Some good saves were made by the Nelson goalie. R. Dicker, and his clearing kicks enabled Nelson to carry play into High School territory more than once. But the visitors applied relentless pressure, and carried the half-time scores of 3-0 to 7-1.
