Young Air Passengers

Sir. —On May 28, 1960. a Press Association item appeared in your General News column headed. “Baby’s Records.” which said, in effect, that a five-day-old baby notched a second record by flying in a N.A.C. aircraft between Wellington and Auckland. In the “Hokitika Guardian” of March 2, 1956, we read that the infant son of Mr and Mrs A. R. Wells was born at the Haast about 2 a.m., and by 9 a.m. he was delivered to the Hokitika Maternity Hospital with his mother by the N.A.C. Dominie. This record, I think, will be hard to beat.—Yours, etc., ONE FOR WESTLAND. June 12, 1960.
