I have repeatedly stated, the acquiring of the Canterbury Club as part of a civic centre has nothing whatever to do with Town Hall Promotion but is a matter for decision by the City Council, a body of responsible and fairminded people who can be trusted to deal honourably with the club and in the best interests of the of this city.)
