FIRE AT TIMBER YARD
Damage To Hopper And Boiler-House Fire caused severe damage to a sawdust hopper and the boilerhouse at the timber yards of W. W. Keighley and Company Ltd. in Fitzgerald avenue at 7.13 p.m. on Saturday. The fire, wbicb broke out in the boiler-house, spread slightly to a machine shop. Three units from the Central Fire station attended the call. Two units, one from Woolston, th: other from the Central station were called to an oven fire at 9.15 a.m. yesterday at the home of Mr R. D. Creighton, 23 McBratneys road, Dallington. There was no damage. A rubbish heap on the property of St. John’s Anglican Church, Woolston, was set alight by a spark from an incinerator on Saturday. A unit from the Woolston brigade answered a call at 2 p.m. and extinguished the outbreak. There was no damage.
