HOUSING AREA ROADS
Ministry Claims Widths Are Sufficient “We are wiped off,” said Mr G. P. Kellar at the Christchurch Metropolitan Road Safety Council meeting last night, commenting on a letter from the Ministry of Works referring to the road widths in State housing areas.
The road widths varied according to the amount of traffic the roads were expected to carry, said the letter, but it was felt the present roads were- wide enough and were not dangerous.
