SPRINT RACE AT ROSEHILL
Fresh Start For Supertax
SYDNEY, February 12. The lightweight jockey, Ray George, will ride the former New Zealand galloper Supertax, prepost favourite for the Flying Handicap at Rosehill tomorrow. George will be riding Supertax for the first time. Although Supertax will be having his first start after a spell, he is a clearcut favourite. Supertax, a noted “first-up” horse, has pleased Randwick trackmen. His trainer. Jack Green, said Supertax would not go to Melbourne for the autumn carnival. Tomorrow’s Flying Handicap will have considerable bearing on major races at the coming Randwick autumn meeting. Three class horses. Supertax, Bardshah and Travel Boy, will be having their first starts after a spell. Travel Boy, a star three-year-old last Spring, will go to Melbourne on Monday.
