Trawler Nets Old Anchor
An anchor which must have lain on the bottom of the Tasman Sea for many years was hauled up on Monday by the Greymouth fishing boat Lady Luck. Weighing 1001 b and of an old pick type design it was caught in the vessel’s net while it was trawling for fish in about 20 to 25 fathoms of water nine miles off South Beach.
