Visiting Jockeys On Top-Weights

Overseas jockeys will have no formidable opposition in the International Stakes at Doomben on Saturday They have been given the five horses at the top of the weights. This leaves six acceptors, with weights ranging from 7-6 to 7-0, for the local ri-lers The Englishman, Geoff Lewis, has drawn the favourite, Bindana. but Bindana is not a certain starter. A decision on a run will be made today. Fred Palmer (France) will be on the top-weight, Duchesne, Jacques Hoogaert (Belgium) on The Conveyancer, Yuji Nohira (Japan) on Torquar, and Moses Lee (Malaya) on Theodric.
