GIN DISTILLERY IN N.Z.
Production Expected Next Year (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. September 16. The production of gin in New Zealand was expected to start next year, the Minister of Customs (Mr Boord) said today, replying to a question by Mr W. W. Freer (Government, Mount Albert) in the House of Representatives. Mr Boord said that production would not start as early as was first expected. “I am not in a position to state whether there has been unnecessary delay on the part of the interested English companies,” he added, replying to another question by Mr Freer.
