Plans For Up And Coming

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 30.

The owner of Up and Coming. Mr N. Simpson, said in Auckland tonight that there was a possibility that the horse would be able to leave Sydney on September 20 for the United States, where he has been invited to compete in the Washington International at Laurel, Maryland, on November 11. He would travel by air. Mr Simpson said there seemed a chance that a load of five horses would make the trip on a chartered aircraft. There was no regular freight service across the Pacific to the United States, but travelling time by that route was only two days. If the present plans were successful. Up and Coming would miss the big spring races in Australia.
