T.A.B. FIGURE £256,899
Investments with the Totalisator Agency Board on the three race meetings on Saturday amounted to £256,899 10s. This total was made up of win and place bets amounting to £129,973, and £126,926 10s was invested on doubles.
After d'ducting last year’s offcourse figures for the Ashburton meeting, which this year was held on Friday, the total on Saturday was down by £18.239 5s on the corresponding day last year. ,

On-course: £129,914 10s; down £16.370. Off-course: £144.681 15s; down £16,919 10s. WANGANUI
On-course: £53,584 10s; down
.£5640. Off-course: £87,924 10s; down £11,873. EASTERN SOUTHLAND On-course: £19,280 10s; up £ll9l. Off course: £24,292 15s; up £4553 ss. Off-course substitutes on Saturday were:— Avondale: Indian Mars. Wanganui: Dowdex. Eastern Southland: Settler.
