Death Roll In Explosion

(Rec. 7 p.m.) LAE (New Guinea), May 13. A much heavier death roll is now feared in the explosion of the cargo vessel Busama in Wewak harbour yesterday. Reports reaching here from Wewak today stated it was now believed at least two Europeans and 15 natives were killed and an unknown number of natives injured by the blast. Another European is reported to have died in hospital. The Busama carried a crew of 18. but many other natives were reported to have boarded the vessel to start unloading soon after it berthed in Wewak harbour yesterday morning.
