Easy Victory For Southland

(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL. March 8.

Scoring 18 points, the Southland team had an easy victory over Otago (2 points), South Canterbury (5), South Otago (4), and Eastern Southland <2) at Teretonga Park today in the first in-ter-provincial motor racing ever held in New Zealand. D. Young (Timaru), who won the Southland Sports Car Club hill climb last Saturday in his C. type Jaguar, only once failed to finish in a place. His car was the fastest on the day, but is not suited to the short circuit which was being used for most of the his T.R.2 Triumph, Y. Willis (Invercargill) had a particularly successful day finishing first once, second twice and third once. He was also a member of the winning Southland relay team.
