Second Birthday Celebrated

The second birthday of the Lyttelton Country Women’s Institute was held recently and attended by representatives of many institutes Specially-invited guests included members of the Dominion Federation and the Dominion Council of Country Women’s Institutes and area federation presidents. Sprays were presented to all visitors. „ , , The Ruby Green Rose Bowl for most points incompetitions for 1958 was presented to Mrs C. Gilmore. . It was decided to send £3 to a Korean child sponsored by the institute under the Save the Children Fund. It was also decided to give £3 to the Spencer Memorial Fund and a sum of £3 to the A.C.W.W. fund. A birthday cake with two candles, was made by Mrs Duncan and iced by Mrs I. Henderson. Mrs Gale (Stunner) gave humorous recitations.
