MOTOR CARAVAN RALLY

’ Twenty-six motor caravans assembled on the property of Mr lan Mcßae, near the Selwyn river, at the week-end for the first South Island rally of the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association.

Mr A.. Anderson, of Gisborne, formed the association in 1956 Members from as far north as Nelson and as far south as Oamaru attended the rally. Visitors to the rally included the Minister of Transport (Mr Mathison), and Mr Anderson and Mrs Anderson, who flew down from Gisborne to attend.
