Serious Injuries To Motor-Cyclist

A trip to Wanganui to attend the national motor-cycle grass track races ended prematurely for a Palmerston North motor-cyclist when he was seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a truck on the Bulls-Tura-kina highway yesterday. He is Baron Thomas Ormroa, aged 19, a clerk, of Park road, Palmerston North, who was admitted to the Wanganui, hospital suffering from a fractured arm, fractured pelvis and leg. and suspected internal injuries. His condition late tonight was reported as being fair.
Road Closed.— Memorial avenue, between Clyde road and' Dam road, will be closed to traffic as from tomorrow, to allow the portion of the road to be reconstructed. Motorists will have to detour via Hamilton avenue and Ram road. The section of the avenue .between Woolridges road and Russley road has now been reopened.
