Extension To N.Z. Sought

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 22. The New Zealand Football Association will ask Australia if it will extend to New Zealand the tour by the top Scottish professional club, Heart of Midlothian The club’s 10-match tour in May of this year was announced in Sydney yesterday by the Australian Football Association The New Zealand association’s secretary (Mr W. J. Arcus) said today that an immediate request was made that the tour be extended

Mr Arcus said the Australian association last month acknowledged a letter which asked that New Zealand be included in any negotiations made with overseas teams, especially English sides.

Mr Arcus also announced today that the New Zealand association had been offered a visit by Pakistan, whose association wished to include this country in its our of the Far East. The offer would be considered by a meeting of the national body in Wellington on Tuesday night. Mr Arcus said he should also have word from Australia for the meeting.
