• New Zeaiana Press Ataoctnttoni WELLINGTON, Jan 22. A request by the New Zealand Football Association for a Soccer match against the M.C.C. team during its stay in New Zealand had been refused, said the secretary of the association (Mr W J. Arcus) today. He said he had received a letter from a representative of the M.C.C. team’s manager (Mr F. Brown), who said a game could not be fitted in the itinerary,.; The letter said the only day free was Friday, March 13 —the day before the first test—and the Englishmen were net prepared to play Soccer on that day.
