Little Change In Sterling Funds

There was little change in the sterling exchange holdings of the Reserve Bank for the week ended January 14, compared with the previous week. On January 7 the total holdings were £ 40.8 m, and by January 14 the figure was £41.1m. The figures are shown in the bank’s latest return. Advances to the State also showed a slight increase, rising from £38.2m on January 7 to £38.4m Advances to marketing organisations fell from £33.4m to £ 31.9 m.
