City By-laws

Sir, —The Town Clerk (Mr H. S. Feast) in his offer to sell a copy of-j’se bylaws at the council's main office, ignores my question with reference to a similar simple service which was refused at a suburban office of . the Christchurch City Council. One cannot understand why the council’s surburban service is restricted to the collection of rents, rates, and taxes and I therefore ask for an unrestricted and helpful suburban service as promised at the time of amalgamation with the city,— Yours, etc., RIP VAN WINKLE.
