Pinned Under Van.—A man was pinned under a van for two hours on the corner of Richmond road and Dickens street, Ponsonby, before he was seen by a taxi driver shortly after 4 a.m. yesterday. The van fell off the jack while he was working on it. He is Mr D. Lindsay, of 419 Great North road, Grey Lynn. St. John Ambulance men freed Mr Lindsay and took him to Auckland Public Hospital with injuries to the chest and back.— (P.A.)
