"Woman Catches Big Striped Marlin

(New Zealand Press Association) WHANGAREI. January 22.

Fishing from , Mr Norman Fairlie’s 26ft cruiser Reel-’em-in, Mrs H. Taylor, of Auckland, landed the heaviest striped marlin. a 260-pounder. in the Bay of Islands season to date. The fish, caught off Cape Brett, fought for two hours and a half before being landed. Mr Fairlie, of Auckland, and his boat, Reel-’em-in, have been selected to take part tn the seafishing contest against Australia at Mayor Island in March.
