BARRY BRIGGS RETURNS

Speedway Riding Plans Uncertain (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 22. The world champion speedway rider for the last two years, Barry Briggs, of Christchurch, is at present uncertain whether he will return to England for another season. Briggs returned home in the Rangitane today with his London wife. June.

‘‘There is a possibility that I will return at Easter, but there is nothing certain,” he said. Home for the first time in two years and a half, Briggs is here to visit his family in Christchurch. He was not interested in riding while in New Zealand, he said, “I have brought one bicycle with me but other than riding at the New Zealand championships in Rotorua, I doubt whether I will race at all,” he said.
