Scout Jamboree Covers

The official boy scout Pan Pacific first day covers for use with the special 3d stamp which will be issued by the Post Office on January 5 are now on sale at Scout House, Oxford terrace, the executive commissioner, Mr E. B. Bohan, said yesterday. The covers will be sold by scouts and cubs for 3d each and part of the proceeds wiU go to local scouting and to the headquarters development fund. A special pictorial date stamp will be used at the jamboree post office on the first day the stamps are issued. Persons who wish to have their covers cancelled with this date stamp should forward addressed envelopes with a remittance covering the cost of the stamps required and a servicing fee of Id for each envelope to the Chief Postmaster at Auckland, so as to reach the office not later than December 19. The outside cover should be marked “Jamboree Covers.”
