Bricklayers

Sir.- It was quite amusing tn read in “The Press” this morning about bricklayers and pumicestone chimneys. My experience with bricklayers is: if you want lone, it is necessary to wait three months. Then, when he does start a job he puts in two or three days an J disappears for up to a month. The quality of the job i< very poor. In fact, the old. real bricklayer would turn in • his 1 grave if shown some of the work of most of the present so-called bricklayers. I know of one case where a bricklayer closed a chimney flue and a tire could not be lit. In my opinion, the pumice fireplace is* a real job. The other so-called chimney built by present bricklayers is a botch. And the price? Some have already been prosecuted for over-charg-ing. Yours, etc . STILL WAITING AFTER THREE MONTHS.
