(New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Sept. 23; The New Zealand singles bowling champion, P. C. Skoglund, aged 21, of the Northern Club, Palmerston North, has accepted a nomination to represent New Zealand in a world bowling competition. The competition—a postal event —is a match of consistency. Three judges and five witnesses watch the number of ends. All bowls count and are measured, and the figures are sent to the competition headquarters in London! The winner is decided on the lowest total distance of all shots.
