Sixty Years As Priest

(New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 19.

Sixty years as a Roman Catholic priest will be celebrated by the Rev. Father Francis Vincent, S.M., at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, Greenmeadows, during the week-end. Father Vincent was born at Southwark, London, and was ordained on June 21, 1898. He was stationed in South America for some years and was a World War I chaplain with British troops before coming to New Zealand in 1920. As a missioner he was known by thousands throughout the Dominion, fie is 85.
