PROTEST AT NAGY EXECUTION
Boycott Of Party For Violinist (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, .June 19. It is likely that, as a moral protest against the execution of the former Hungarian Prime Minister (Mr Nagy) and other Hungarian leaders a section of the Diplomatic Corps will boycott a party at the Soviet Legation, Wellington, on Monday arranged for the visiting Russian violinist, David Oistrakh. The diplomatic correspondent of a Wellington newspaper said today that the boycott will certainly apply . to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation countries, including Britain, the United States, and France, and possibly to others, ind it was likely that only satellite countries of the Soviet Union would attend. The Federation of Labour has .asked the Russian Charge d’Affaires (Mr G. M. Rodionov) to receive a deputation so that the federation may lodge its protest against the execution of Mr Nagy and the other leaders. “We also would like to know what justification the Russians had for murdering these people,’’ said the president of the federation (Mr F. P. Walsh), today.
