PLEASANT POINT CATTLE SALE
(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, April 29. Fully 1350 cattle were yarded and catalogued at the Pleasant Point adult cattle sgle today. The entry was made up for the most part of breeding cows, store steers, and heifers from widespread districts. The sale opened on the breeding cows, and from the outset the demand was very keen and remained so throughout for all classes of cattle. Values were:— Shorthorn cows: best, £24 to £35; others. £l3 to £22 10s. Aberdeen Angus cows: best, £2l to £26 ss; inferior to medium. £l2 to £2O. Hereford cows: £l2 to £27; threeyear steers, £2B to £34 10s; twoyear stelri's and heifers (all breeds), £l4 to £32 10s.
