CONSULTANTS TO M.E.D.

Deputy-Mayor’s Statement “In fairness to the firm of industrial consultants, it should be said that they are still fully engaged with City Council work,” said the Deputy-Mayor (Cr. L. G. Amos), who is also chairman of the electricity committee, last evening. He was referring to reports of the meeting of the City Council on Monday evening, when it was stated that the industrial consultants’ services to the Municipal Electricity Department had been suspended in the meantime. “Any rearrangement of the activities of the consultants Is at the request of the committee or committees concerned,” Cr. Amos said. “In relation to the electricity committee, it was fell that it should take time to absorb the consultants’ suggestions.”
