COMPETITION AT DUNEDIN

(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, February 16. Grange, by scoring a win by an innings and 89 runs over Dunedin in the Dunedin senior cricket competition yesterday, took a lead of 30 points over its nearest rival. High School Old Boys, and became assured of winning the championship. The win was Grange’s sixth outright victory in the eight series of matches played so far in the competition. Scores yesterday were:— Grange 272, Dunedin 82 and 101 (A. M. Moir six for 33). Kaikorai 234 and 56 for two; Old Boys 115 (F. W. Stanley five for 23) and 173 (J. Lindsay 56; W. Bridgeman five for 54). North-East Valley 311 for eight declared (B. Sutcliffe 71, F. Bremner 55), Albion-Y.M.C.A. 235 and 104 for three.
