Leading teams were successful when the ninth round of the Ellesmere Cricket Sub-Association’s' P. V. Bailey Memorial Cup games was played on Saturday. M. Fleming, with an unbeaten 84 for Leeston against Southbridge, was the top scorer of the day. Fleming scored his first 50 in only 37 minutes, and he scored 70 runs off only four overs. His innings Included four sixes and nine fours. M. Chamberlain took seven wickets for 23 runs for Leeston in Southbridge’s first innings, but was less effective in the second Innings. Dunsandel beat Weedons in an evenly contested match * in which P. Buckenham’s bowling performance of seven wickets for 23 runs was noteworthy. The Burnham righthand in-swing bowler, J.
