PIGS
Smaller entries than last year and apart from the champion Berkshire and Tamworth, a standard which the judges termed “only average” v marked the pig section. Considerable interest was paid to this section by the few visitors to the show yesterday, since it is close by the helicopter display.
The Tamworth and Berkshire sections were the most prominent and the best animals were well up to standard. The champion of champion pig—a Berkshire sow—was entered by Mr George Beal, of Kaiapoi.
