AMBERLEY FARM SOLD FOR £5200

A dairy farm of 52? acres at Amberley was sold for £5200 by public auction yesterday. The farm is subdivided into 11 paddocks and has 12 acres in lucerne with the balance in grass. At present it carries 25 cows, a bull, six heifers and six heifer calves. There is a six-roomed farm house on the property and a concrete cow-shed and dairy among the out-buildings. Bidding at the sale began at £4OOO and rose by four bids of £250, one of £lOO, one of £5O and two of £25.

A five-roomed cottage with a garage and outbuildings on a three-quarter acre section in the centre of Cust township failed to reach the reserve price. Bidding began at £3OO, rose by two bids of £5O and one of £25 and the property was passed in at £425. The section has a frontage of four chains and a half.
