Situation: An anti-cyclone is centred south-east of New Zealand. Forecast:— West Coast and Nelson: Light winds and fair, warm weather. Outlook: fair. Canterbury and Marlborough: Light to moderate southerly to easterly winds; weather mainly cloudy with coastal drizzle in the morning and some scattered rain in the afternoon; showers mainly about the ranges; temperatures moderate to mild. Outlook: fair to cloudy.
