Duke Bought Paintings At Alice Springs

SYDNEY, December 21

The Duke of Edinburgh bought at least 15 paintings by aboriginal artists when he visited Alice Springs last month.

The paintings included three by Albert Namatjira and two by his son. Oscar.

The Alice Springs artist, Rex Battarbee. yesterday revealed the story of the Duke’s purchases.
