The United States veteran Vic Seixas scored an outstanding win in today’s opening matches at the South Australian lawn tennis championships. In an upset result, Mike Green, of the United States, was completely outplayed by B. Phillips-Moore. In the first round of the junior singles, L. Gerrard. of New Zealand, beat B. Cadzow, of South Australia. 6-1, 6-3. Results were:— Men’s Singles.—V. Seixas beat "G. Stewart, 6-1. 6-1. 6-1; H. Flam (U.S.) beat R. Mark. 2-6.. 6-4. 6-2. 6-3; S. Giammalva (U.S.) beat K. Lonergan, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3; W. Knight (U.S.) beat D. Goodger, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3; B. Phillips-Moore beat M. Green (U.S.). 1-6. 6-0. 6-2. 6-3; M. Davies (Great Britain) beat M. R. D. Laver, 6-2. 6-2, 6- M.
