STILL NO TRACE OF LOST BOY

150 VOLUNTEERS MAKE INTENSIVE SEARCH

An extensive search yesterday by 150 volunteers failed to yield any trace of the 2j-year-old boy, Bruce Eric Meaclem, who has been missing from his home at Klondyke, near Mayfield, since last Friday. The boy was at first believed to have fallen into the Rangitata diversion race, which runs alongside his home, but a thorough search over the weekend was unavailing. Yesterday the search party, led by Constable I. Rose, of Ashburton, combed the countryside from Klondyke to Methven from early morning until well after dark. The search will be continued this morning, when the surrounding area will be intensively covered.
