Cheviot Farm Sold.— A 280-acre property at Cheviot was sold for £11.060 st auction, in Christchurch last week. The property, which carries almost 800 sheep and 23 head of cattle, was offered on account of Mr G. J. Crampton. Bidding opened at £25 an acre and rose briskly by bids of £1 to £3l. The price then rose by 16 bids of 10s to £39. After two further bids of ss, the property was sold at £39 10s an acre. About 50 persons attended.
