BRITISH GUIDED MISSILE
Spectacular Weapon Reported (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. March 7. Britain’s most important defence weapon, a guided missile that can be fired from the ground to destroy a faster-than-sound bomber or even intercept an attacking rocket, has been perfected, the “Daily Mail” said today. An announcement of spectacular developments in Britain’s guided weapon defence would be m’ade by the Minister of Supply soon, the newspaper said. It added that already an order had been placed to build 700 of these new weapons for proving their ability.
